Handa ang organizers ng 2019 Southeast Asian Games sa paghagupit ng Bagyong Tisoy.
Sa press conference sa World Trade Center araw ng Lunes, sinabi ni Philippines Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) chief operating officer Tats Suzara na may contingency measures para sa palaro.
“Everything is set for full contingency, all venues, all technical delegates, venue managers are ready,” ani Suzara.
Ayon kay Suzara, tuloy ang mga palaro kahit walang audience.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang laro basta may power, safe ang teams. But without spectators,” dagdag ng sports official.
Posible rin namang mabalam ang ilang sports events depende sa magiging lakas ng bagyo.
“If necessary, the games will continue even without the viewing public, but that is as long as the category of the typhoon is manageable but if it’s that strong then we could postpone or delay some games,” dagdag ni Suzara.
Magpapatuloy ang laro kapag nakadaan na ang bagyo at umayos na ang panahon.
“The games will be on the same venues and the typhoon will pass by in four hours and we can resume hopefully,” ani Suzara.
Upang mabawasan ang pinsala ng Bagyong Tisoy, ipinag-utos na ang pagkalas sa mga tents na nakatayo sa labas ng venues.
