NDRRMC pinaghahanda na ang publiko sa Typhoon ‘Kammuri’; bagyo posibleng maging SUPER TYPHOON

Pinaghahanda na ng National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) ang publiko sa posibleng pananalasa ng Typhoon Kammuri sa bansa.

Nagsagawa ng Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) meeting ang NDRRMC Huwebes ng hapon.

Inaasahang magdadala ng tuloy-tuloy na malalakas na pag-ulan ang bagyo sa Luzon at Eastern Visayas na posibleng magdulot ng malawakang pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa.

Ayon sa NDRRMC, binabaybay ng Typhoon Kamuri ang kaparehong ‘track’ na dinaanan ng Bagyong Reming noong 2006 at Bagyong Glenda noong 2004.

Umabot sa 734 ang nasawi sa pananalasa ng Bagyong Reming, 106 sa Bagyong Glenda at nasa P38.6 bilyon ang pinsala.

Naka-blue alert status na ngayon ang ahensya.

Ipinag-utos ni OCD Administrator and NDRRMC Executive Director Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad sa mga kaukulang ahensya ng gobyerno na paigtingin ang paghahanda sa bagyo.

Hindi anya dapat magpakampante at dapat hindi na maulit ang mga nangyari sa mga nakaraang bagyo.

“We cannot leave this storm to chance. Let us strengthen all preparedness efforts at the national, regional, and local government levels. We also advise affected residents to expect possible pre-emptive evacuations and take precautionary measures. Let us learn from our history of past typhoons and become more cooperative and prepared,” ani Jalad.

Sinabi ng PAGASA na may posibilidad na maging Super Typhoon pa ang Bagyong Kammuri.
