#MayPasok: Duterte hindi magsususpinde ng pasok para sa SEA Games

Hindi papatulan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga panawagan na suspendihin ang klase sa Metro Manila at mga karatig-lalawigan habang umaarangkada ang 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

Una nang inirekomenda ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang suspensyon ng klase sa ilang paaralan na malapit sa sporting venues hindi lang sa Metro Manila kundi sa Central Luzon at CALABARZON.

Maging ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ay nagpahayag ng suporta sa suspensyon ng klase sa Metro Manila.

Pero sa press briefing sa Malacañang Huwebes ng gabi, sinabi ng pangulo na mahabang panahon idaraos ang SEA Games kaya hindi uubra ang class suspensions.

“No that’s too long. That is simply too long,” ani Duterte.

Maaari naman niya umanong irekomenda ang suspensyon ng klase sa closing ceremony ng regional meet.

Opisyal nang magsisimula ang SEA Games bukas (November 30) at tatagal hanggang Miyerkules (December 11).
