PHISGOC: Reklamo ng mga foreign athletes sa SEA Games naplantsa na
Inihayag ng Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) na naresolba na ang mga bagay na una nang inireklamo ng foreign athletes sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Sa pulong balitaan araw ng Miyerkules, sinabi ni PHISGOC chief operating officer Ramon Suzara na tinalakay nila ang lahat ng isyu at hiling ng mga atleta kabilang ang problema sa pagkain at naresolba na ang mga ito.
“We tackled all the issues of players, their requests and the problems of the chef de mission and we have resolved everything. We want to put a rest on this that’s why we had a chef de mission meeting,” ani Suzara.
Depensa ng PHISGOC official, marami naman talagang adjustments bago pormal na magsimula ang isang event.
“Always, before the opening, there are a lot of adjustments,” giit ni Suzara.
Una nang inireklamo ng football teams mula sa Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Timor Leste at Myanmar ang aberya sa transportasyon, accommodation at pagkain.
Apela ni Suzara sa media, ituon ang atensyon sa mga positibong bagay at hindi sa mga problema sa hosting ng bansa sa SEA Games.
“I’m appealing to all of you to give a positive note on what we have done,” mensahe ni Suzara sa media.
Paliwanag nito, hindi lang dapat tutukan ang mga naunang problema sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
Handa at maayos na anya ang ilang sports facilities tulad ng Biñan Complex, Muntinlupa Sports Complex, New Clark City at World Trade Center.
Para naman kay Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino, dapat suportahan ng media ang mga atleta ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pag-uulat ukol sa mga positibong bagay.
“I-angat naman natin ang ating mga atleta at bansa through reporting more on the positives. Let us cheer to all our athletes,” ani Tolentino.
