White House isinailalim sa lockdown dahil sa ulat ng airspace violation
Ipinatupad ang lockdown sa White House matapos makapasok ang isang umano’y eroplano sa restricted airspace ng Washington DC.
Dahil dito agad na nagpulong ang senior national security officials mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya para bantayan ang sitwasyon.
Nagpalipad din ng isang North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) aircraft para rumesponde at mag-imbestiga.
Itinaas din ang security alert sa Capitol building.
Makalipas naman ang halos 20 minuto, tinanggal na ang lockdown.
Ayon kay NORAD spokesman Maj. Andrew Hennessy, ‘false alarm’ ang nangyari dahil wala silang natagpuan aircraft.
Posible anyang nagkaroon ng ‘radar slip’.
Kadalasang namamataan ng radar sa himpapawid ay mga lobo o di kaya ay grupo ng mga ibon.
