Mga crew ng limang fishing boats arestado sa ilegal na pangingisda sa Palawan
Arestado ang lahat ng crew ng limang fishing boats matapos mahuling ilegal na nangingisda sa Constancia Shoal at Pasig Shoal sa Roxas, Palawan.
Nadakip ang lima ng pinasanib-pwersa ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).
Nakita ang lima na gumagamit ng air compressor bilang breathing apparatus sa pagkuha ng marine products.
Ayon sa coast guard labag ito sa RA 10654 o Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998.
Sa ilalim ng naturang batas, ipinagbabawal ang pggamit ng mga gear gaya ng air compressor dahil nakukuha din nito ang maliliit na isda.
Mahaharap sa P20,000 multa ang operator ng bawat fishing boats.
