Flight delays ng PAL at CebuPac nababawasan na – DOTr

Patuloy na gumaganda ang on-time performance (OTP) ng Philippine Airlines (PAL) at Cebu Pacific.

Ayon ito sa datos ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) kasunod ng ginagawa nilang monitoring sa serbisyo ng mga airline company.

Ayon kay Captain Stanley K. Ng, PAL Senior VP for Airline Operations, nagawa ng flag carrier na maabot ang all-time high OTP rating na 92% noong Oktubre.

Sinabi ni Ng na nakatulong ng malaki ang mga imporvement na ipinatupad sa NAIA gaya ng pagsasaayos sa air navigation systems, pag-renovate sa runways at taxiways, mas maayos na koordinasyon sa airport slots at iba pa.

Sa datos naman ng Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) ang Cebu Pacific ay nakapagtala ng OTP na 84.71% sa kanilang October flights mas mataas kumpara sa 80.66% noong September.

Sinabi ni Michael Ivan Shau, Cebu Pacific Chief Operations Officer, malaking bagay ang kooperasyon at koordinasyon ng mga concerned government agency para mabawasan ang flight delays.

Ikinatuwa naman ni DOTr Sec. Arthur Tugade ang gumagandang OTPs ng mga airline company.

“I am happy that months after we signed the Pledge of Commitment, we continue to see improvements in OTP across the industry. I hope these efforts are sustained to make air travel in the Philippines more efficient and comfortable,” ayon kay Tugade.
