PDEA, PNP inirerespeto ang desisyon ni Duterte na sibakin si Robredo bilang ICAD co-chair

Iginagalang ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang desisyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sibakin si Vice President Leni Robredo bilang co-chairperson ng Inter-agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Sa pahayag gabi ng Linggo, sinabi ni PDEA chief Aaron Aquino na hindi maaapektuhan ng pagsibak kay Robredo na isakatuparan ang kanilang mandato na masawata ang iligal na droga sa bansa.

“PDEA respects and believes in the wisdom of the President. “Whatever happens, PDEA will continue to carry out its mandate to rid of the country of illegal drugs with utmost sincerity and integrity,” ani Aquino.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order no. 15, si Aquino ang sole-chairperson ng ICAD bago italaga ni Duterte si Robredo.

Sa pahayag naman ng PNP, sinabi nitong magpapatuloy ang kanilang kampanya laban sa high-value targets habang pinaiiral ang ‘rule of law’ at iginagalang ang karapatang pantao.

“The PNP respects the decision of the President terminating the services of VP Leni Robredo as ICAD Co-Chair. We assure the public that the campaign against high value targets of illegal drugs will remain relentless following the rule of law and with utmost respect for human rights,” ayon sa PNP.
