Malakanyang, nag-sorry din sa abala sa mga atleta ng Cambodia, Thailand at Timor-Leste

Humingi ng paumanhin ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang sa mga atleta at bisita mula sa iba’t ibang bansa na dadalo sana sa 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games dahil sa kapalpakan ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC).

Ayon kay Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo, hindi na mababago ang sitwasyon kung kaya hindi na magdadahilan pa ang Office of the President.

Dahil dito, sinabi ni Panelo na humihingi ng sorry ang Palasyo sa abalang idinulot sa mga atleta.

“We can no longer undo what has been done. The Office of the President will not offer any excuses. As host country, we apologize for the unintentional inconvenience suffered by our athlete-guests,” ani Panelo.

Hindi naman aniya mangangako ang pamahalaan na walang mangyayaring kapalpakan pero pagsusumikapan pa rin aniya ng kanilang hanay na magiging maayos at matiwasay ang pagdaraos ng SEA Games.

Ilang oras na-stranded sa airport ang mga atleta mula sa Cambodia, Thailand at Timor-Leste dahil sa kawalan ng shuttle o sasakyan na susundo sa kanila mula sa airport patungong hotel o sa practice area.
