Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang episentro ng lindol ay sa layong 67 kilometro Timog-Kanluran ng Maasim.
May lalim itong 23 kilometro at tectonic ang dahilan.
Hindi naman nagdulot ng pinsala sa ari-arian ang lindol at wala ring inaasahang aftershocks.
