Duterte ipagbabawal na ang vape; vapers sa public places ipaaaresto
Ipagbabawal na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang paggamit at importasyon ng ‘vape’ o ‘electronic cigarettes’.
Sa press conference sa Malacañang, Martes ng gabi, sinabi ng pangulo na mapanganib sa kalusugan ng publiko ang vape.
Giit ng pangulo, may kapangyarihan ang gobyerno na protektahan ang interes at kalusugan ng publiko.
“I will ban it. I will ban it. The use and importation. You know why? Because it is toxic, and government has the power to issue measures to protect public health and public interest,” ani Duterte.
Babala ni Duterte sinumang lalabag ay kanyang ipaaaresto.
“I am now ordering law enforcement agencies to arrest anybody vaping in public. . . . If you’re smoking now, you will be arrested,” dagdag ng presidente.
Ayon sa pangulo may taglay ang vape na mga kemikal na hindi pa tiyak ang epekto sa katawan ng tao at hindi pa pumapasa sa pamantayan ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Noon lamang nakaraang linggo, kinumpirma ng Department of Health (DOH) na isang 16-anyos na batang babae mula sa Visayas ang nagtamo ng lung injury dahil sa paggamit ng Vape.
