Crackdown sa mga gumagamit ng wang-wang at blinkers iniutos ng PNP

Ipinag-utos ni Philippibe National Police (PNP) Officer-in-Charge, Police Lt Gen Archie Francisco F. Gamboa ang crakdown laban sa hindi otorisadong paggamit ng blinkers at wang-wang.

Partikular na ipatutupad ni Gamboa ang paghihigpit laban sa mga gumagamit ng wang-wang at blinkers ng mga hindi otorisadong sasakyan sa kasagsagan ng SEA Games at Christmas season.

Inatasan ni Gamboa ang lahat ng PNP unit commanders na mahigpit na ipatupad ang probisyon sa ilalim ng Letter of Instruction (LOI) 34/10 o ang “Action Plan Against Wang-Wang and Counter Flow” at ang PNP Memo Circular No. 2017-049 o ang “Policy on the Provision of the PNP Mobile and Motorcycle Security Coverage.

Ayon kay Gamboa, tanging mga patrol vehicles at patrol motorcycles, SOCO vehicles, SWAT vehicles, rescue vehicles at ambulansya ng PNP ang papayagang gumamit ng wang-wang at blinkers.

Exempted din sa pagbabawal ang mga fire truck, ambulansya at iba pang rescue at emergency vehicles.

Sa ilalim ng PNP Memo Circular No. 2017-049, ang PNP mobile at motorcycle security ay maaring mag-escort sa pangulo ng Pilipinas, Bise Presidente, Senate President, Speaker ng House Representatives, Chief Justice ng Supreme Court, at iba pang authorized government officials at foreign delegates kapag may national events.
