Pasig river rehab plan tuloy kahit binuwag ang PRRC
Malugod na tinanggap ng mga opisyal ng Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) ang desisyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na buwagin na ang nasabing komisyon.
Sa kanilang pahayag, sinabi ng PRRC na kanilang tutulungan ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), at ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa pagsasa-ayos ng kanilang mga iiwang trabaho.
Magtutulong-tulong rin ang nasabing mga ahensya para matiyak na tuloy ang pagsasa-ayos sa Ilog Pasig.
“Rest assured that the efforts for the rehabilitation of the Pasig River shall carry on as planned and we remain hopeful that the mandated agencies will continue the legacy of the Commission and the predecessors of the Pasig River rehabilitation program”, ayon sa PRRC.
Nauna dito ay isinailalim ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa direct supervision ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang PRRC dahil sa ilang isyu ng katiwalian.
