Nagbanta ang pamunuan ng Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) na marami pa ang nakatakdang sampahan ng kaso.

Kasunod ito ng nadiskubreng game fixing at point shaving na kinasasangkutan ng ilang mga team owner, mga coaches at mga players.
