Sanofi Pasteur umapela kay Duterte para muling maibenta sa bansa ang Dengvaxia

Kinumpirma ng Department of Health na nagpadala na ng apela sa tanggapan ng pangulo ang pharmaceutical giant na Sanofi Pasteur.

Sinabi ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque III na humihirit ang nasabing kumpanya na muli silang mabigyan ng certificate of product registration (CPR) partikular na sa kanilang produkto na Dengvaxia.

Magugunita na noong buwan ng Agosto ay binawi ng Food and Drug Administration ang CPR ng Dengvaxia dahil sa isyu pa rin ng dengue.

“The DOH sustained the decision revoking the registration of the vaccine for “failure to submit documents pertaining to risk management or risk assessment which is a requirement for continuing certification of product registration,” ayon kay Duque.

Sa ngayon ay nasa kamay na ng Office of the president ang bola ayon pa sa opisyal.

Sakaling payagang muli ang paggamit ng Dengvaxia kontra dengue, sinabi ni Duque na magiging gradual lamang ang paggamit dito at hindi tulad ng mass vaccination.

Nauna dito ay sinabi ng health official na naapektuhan ang immunization program ng bansa dahil sa takot ng publiko sa Dengvaxia.
