Tourist arrivals sa bansa hanggang September 2019 pumalo sa 6.16 milyon

Patuloy ang pagdagsa ng mga turista sa bansa ayon sa Department of Tourism (DOT).

Ayon sa ulat ng DOT na inilabas araw ng Biyernes, umabot sa 6,161,503 ang international visitor arrivals mula January hanggang September 2019.

Mas mataas ito ng 14.37 percent kumpara sa 5,387,458 na naitala sa kaparehong panahon noong 2018.

Ayon pa sa DOT, noong September 2019 lang, ang visitor arrivals ay umabot sa 606,553, mas mataas ng 17.09 percent kumpara sa 518,041 noong September 2018.

Ayon kay Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, ‘very promising’ ang mga datos at umaas pa ang kagarawan sa dagsa ng mga turista.

“The figures look very promising, and we are glad that more tourists are visiting us in light of the accolades received by the Philippines and our destinations throughout the year,” ani Puyat.

Positibo rin anya ang year-on-year arrival para sa walo sa Top 10 visitor markets ng bansa.

Nangunguna pa rin ang Korea sa listahan na may 1,450,792 na sinundan ng China, 1,359,817 at USA na may 792,619 arrivals.

Ipinagmalaki rin ng DOT ang pagkilala na ibinigay sa Pilipinas ngayong taon kabilang ang pagiging pangwalo sa 20 Most Favorite Countries of the World ng Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Readers’ Choice Awards.
