DFA, nagbabala sa mga aplikante vs sa paggamit ng tourist visa para makahanap ng trabaho
Nagbabahala ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa Filipinong aplikante laban sa paggamit ng tourist visa para makakuha ng trabaho.
Ito ay matapos mapauwi ng Pilipinas ang 71 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFW) mula sa United Arab Emirates (UAE), Biyernes ng umaga.
Ayon kay Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola, posibleng makaranas ng pang-aabuso ang mga aplikante na walang tamang dokumento.
Dumarami aniya ang natatanggap na reklamo ng kagawaran ukol sa illegal recruitment.
Samantala, sinagot ng DFA, sa pamamagitan ng Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, ang biyahe ng mga OFW pauwi ng Manila, pagproseso ng exit visa, at maintenance at operating costs ng government shelters sa Abu Dhabi at Dubai.
