Malacañang: Robredo nagpatawag na ng pulong sa mga miyembro ng ICAD

Mismong si Vice President Leni Robredo na ang nagpatawag ng pulong sa mga miyembro ng Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) ayon sa anunsyo ng Malacañang araw ng Huwebes.

Ito ay makaraang tanggapin ng bise ang hamon na pamunuan ang drug war sa pamamagitan ng pagiging co-chair ng ICAD.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, si Executive Secretary (ES) Salvador Medialdea ang nagsabi na nagpatawag si Robredo ng pulong sa ICAD members.

Iginiit ni Panelo na patunay ito ng dedikasyon ng bise presidente sa kanyang bagong trabaho.

“According to ES, the Vice President has already called a meeting for the ICAD. Hindi naman (nakakabigla). Ibig sabihin she’s very dedicated to assume her new job. Ibig sabihin nagta-trabaho na siya,” ani Panelo.

Wala naman ang ibinigay pang karagdagang detalye ang Palasyo ukol sa pulong.

Pero kinumpirma ni Robredo na makakapulong niya ang mga ahensya sa ilalim ng ACAD sa kanyang opisina sa Quezon City ngayong Biyernes (Nov. 😎.

Ang ICAD ay binubuo ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Dangerous Drugs Board, at ng Department of Health (DOH).

Umaasa si DILG Assistant Secretary Ricojudge Echiverri na makikita na ni Robredo ang katotohanan ukol sa war on drugs ng pamahalaan.

“VP Leni can see for herself what is the truth behind everything, and hopefully, makita ng international media and the local media that what we are doing is not sugarcoated,” ani Echiverri.
