P4.2M halaga ng smuggled cigarettes nakumpiska sa Zamboanga

Nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Zamboanga at Zamboanga Police ang aabot sa P4.2 milyong halaga ng smuggled cigarettes.

Sa press release na inilabas Huwebes ng gabi, sinabi ng BOC na nasabat ang 143 kahon at 40 reams ng Bravo Red Cigarettes noong Martes at galing ang mga ito mula sa Malaysia.

Sakay ang mga smuggled na sigarilyo ng isang panel truck na may temporary plate No. 090103 sa Urban Poor Drive, Tugbungan, Zamboanga City.

Agad dinala ang sasakyan at mga sigarilyo sa BOC para sa inventory at proper disposition.

Maglalabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention dahil sa paglabag sa Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) of 2016.

Ang mga suspek naman na sangkot sa smuggling ay dinala na sa Zamboanga Police Office Station 06 para imbestigahan at sampahan ng mga posibleng reklamo.
