Panelo: Duterte kailangan talagang magpahinga

Kung si Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo ang tatanungin, kailangan na talaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magpahinga.

Sa pahayag araw ng Miyerkules sinabi ni Panelo na masyadong ‘workaholic’ ang pangulo.

Maging ang mga kapwa lider anya sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) ay napansin ang kondisyon ng presidente at sinabing ‘overworked’ na ito.

“May mga comment doon sa mga leaders. ‘Your president looks overworked. Don’t let him work too much.’ ‘Yun lahat ang mga comment ng mga ano doon,” ani Panelo.

Ayon kay Panelo, sinabi na lamang nila sa ASEAN leaders na talagang masipag magtrabaho ang pangulo at nakadagdag sa kanyang kondisyon ang naranasang motorcycle accident.

“Sabi lang naman naming, ‘Actually yeah, he’s working very hard and at the same time he had an accident so that contributed to what you are seeing now,’” dagdag ng kalihim.

Ang pahayag ni Panelo ay matapos ang unang anunsyo ni Senator Christopher Bong Go noong October 24 na magkakaroon ng one-week break ang pangulo.

Magaganap umano ang break matapos ang partisipasyon ni Duterte sa 35th ASEAN Summit na naganap noong November 2 hanggang 4.

Wala pa namang kumpirmason si Panelo kung magpapahinga nga ng isang linggo ang presidente.

Ngunit sa kanyang palagay, posibleng bawasan lang ng presidente ang dami ng trabaho nito.

“Palagay ko lessen lang. Workaholic ‘yun eh. Ayaw papigil magtrabaho nang magtrabaho. You know the job of the President is just reading the briefers and signing papers. Matagal na trabaho ‘yunMost likely, he will lessen his volume of work para hindi siya masyadong pressured,” giit ng kalihim.
