Kampo ni Robredo duda sa drug czar appointment na inilabas ng Palasyo

Duda pa rin at hindi siniseryoso ng kampo ni Vice President Leni Robredo ang opisyal na pagkatalaga sa kanya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang “drug czar.”

Inilabas na ng Malakanyang araw ng Martes ang official appointment ng pangulo kay Robredo bilang co-chairperson ng Inter-agency Commission on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Pero ayon sa tagapagsalita ng pangalawang pangulo na si Atty. Barry Gutierrez, “problematic” at marami silang tanong sa appointment na inilabas ng Palasyo.

Ayon kay Gutierrez, hindi umiiral ang posisyon na inaalok ni Duterte kay Robredo.

Ipinapakita anya ng Executive Order No. 15 na hindi seryoso ang pangulo sa alok nitong pangunahan ng bise presidente ang drug war.

“If you read EO 15, the powers are merely implementation of policy, no control, no supervision over the 41 agencies included in the ICAD, and we think this does not capture the President’s original offer,” ani Gutierrez.

Puna pa ng abogado, katuwang ni Robredo sa posisyon si Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron Aquino na una nang sinabi na walang kakayahan ang pangalawang pangulo sa kampanya laban sa iligal na droga.

Iginiit naman ni Gutierrez na seryoso si Robredo na tumulong sa pagresolba sa problema sa droga at magpiprisinta anya ito ng mga plano at suhestyon sa pangulo kaugnay ng war on drugs.

Ang alok ni Duterte kay Robreo na maging drug czar ay sa gitna ng batikos at puna ng bise presidente sa umanoy palyadong drug war ng administasyon.
