Suportado ng ilang mambabatas ang pagkakatalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Vice President Leni Robredo bilang co-chairperson ng Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).

Ayon kay Cong. Robert Barbers, kailangan ng teamwork para tuluyang malabanan ang ilegal na droga sa bansa.

Sa pamamagitan ng hakbang, umaasa naman ang ilang kongresista na matatapos na ang kritisismo ng mga taga-oposisyon sa war on drugs campaign ng administrasyon.
