Skinless longganisa at Picnic Hotdog ng Mekeni nagpositibo sa ASF sa ginawang confirmatory test
Nagpostibo sa African Swine Fever (ASF) ang skinless longganisa at picnic hotdog ng Mekeni Food Corporation.
Ito ang naging resulta ng isinagawang confirmatory test sa mga processed meat products ng Mekeni.
Ayon sa Department of Agriculture (DA) at Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) nagkusa naman na ang Mekeni na ipuull out sa merkado ang kanilang mga produkto bago pa lumabas ang resulta ng ginawang laboratory test.
Ayon sa DA at BAI, dalawang magkahiwalay na pagsusuri ang ginawa sa mga produkto ng Mekeni.
Bagaman hindi banta sa kalusugan ng tao ang ASF, sa ilalim ng Food Safety Act of 2013 hindi dapat ginagamit sa paggawa ng pagkain an gkarne mula sa maysakit o nasawing baboy.
