BSP: Inflation rate noong Oktubre nasa 0.5-1.3 percent

Inaasahang mas naging mabagal pa ang inflation noong buwan ng Oktubre.

Ayon sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas – Department of Economic Research (BSP-DER) posibleng nasa 0.5 hanggang 1.3 percent lang ang October 2019 inflation rate.

Ayon sa DER, posibleng ang mataas na singil sa kuryente at tubig maging ang mataas na presyo ng liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) ay nagpataas sa inflation.

Gayunman, tinapatan ito ng mababang presyo ng bigas at domestic oil.

“The increases in electricity and water rates, as well as higher prices of LPG and selected food items, are seen as the primary sources of upward price pressures for the month. Meanwhile, inflation could be tempered by lower domestic oil and rice prices,” ayon sa pahayag ng BSP-DER.

Sinabi ng DER na patuloy na tututukan ng Bangko Sentral ang pagbabago sa mga presyo para tiyaking ang monetary policy ay alinsunod sa kanilang price stability mandate.

Ilalabas ng Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA) ang official inflation data bukas, November 5.

Noong Setyembre, pumalo lamang sa 0.9 percent ang inflation rate, ang pinakamababa sa loob ng halos tatlong taon.
