Tanong ng Obispo: “Iboboto ba natin ang magpapatuloy ng anti-poor policy?”

UntitledBinatikos ng isang opisyal ng Simbahang Katoliko ang pasya ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III na i-veto ang panukalang batas na magtaaas ng pensyon para sa mga retirees ng Social Security System (SSS).

Sa kaniyang post sa twitter, sinabi ni Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo na sa ginawang pag-veto ng pangulo sa SSS pension hike ay pinatunayan niya na ang kaniyang mga programa patungkol sa ‘inclusive growth’ ay puro sa salita lamang.

Paalala pa ni Pabillo, nagdesisyon din noon si Pangulong Aquino na i-veto ang Magna Carta for the Poor.

Tanong tuloy ni Pabillo sa publiko, iboboto ba natin ang sinomang magpapatuloy ng anti-poor policy ng administrasyon? “By vetoing the bill for increase of pension of SSS members PNOY has clearly shown that his program of inclusive growth is mere rhetoric. We must remember that PNOY also vetoed the bill on Magna Carta for the Poor. Do we vote those who will continue this anti-poor policy?” nakasaad sa twitter post ni Pabillo.

Si Pabillio ay pinuno ng Committee on Public Affairs ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).

Sa pag-veto sa SSS pension hike bill, sinabi ni PNoy na maaring maapektuhan ang kabuuan ng SSS benefit system kapag dinagdagan ng P2,000 ang pensyon ng mga retiradong miyembro.
