Militar iginiit na lehitimo ang raid sa tanggapan ng mga militante sa Negros Occ.
Iginiit ng pwersa ng gobyerno na legal ang pagsalakay sa mga tanggapan ng Bayan Muna, Gabriela, Anakpawis at National Federation of Sugar Workers sa Negros Occidental.
Sa naturang operasyon ay 55 katao ang naaresto, kabilang ang 14 na menor de edad, at 32 na mga armas ang nakumpiska ng militar at pulisya.
Kinumpirma ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang implementasyon ng search warrants sa apat na tanggapan ng mga militanteng grupo sa Barangays 33 at Batang Taculing sa Bacolod City noong October 31 dahil sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law.
Nanindigan si Philippine Army 3rd Infantry Division spokesman Capt. Cenon Pancito na lehitimo ang operasyon laban sa “high value” targets na umanoy may kaugnayan sa New People’s Army (NPA).
Sa impormasyon ng militar, ginagamit ang mga tanggapan bilang training ground ng “Red Fighters” ng NPA.
Bukod sa mga armas, narekober din sa raid ang subversive documents.
Pero ayon sa mga naaresto, “planted” at hindi sa kanila ang mga nakumpiskang armas.
