Review sa limang flagship projects ng gobyerno welcome sa Kamara
Pinapurihan ni House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta ang hakbang ng Department of Finance na i-review ang pitumpu’t limang flagship projects ng gobyerno sa ilalim ng Build, Build, Build program.
Ayon kay Marcoleta, bukod sa posibilidad na napagkakakitaan ang 2.4-trillion peso projects ay napakabagal rin ng proseso at implementasyon nito.
Sinabi ng kongresista na mula sa 75 big ticket infrastructure projects ay dalawampu’t isa lang ang matatapos sa 2022 o katumbas ng 28 percent.
Ibig sabihin, limampu’t apat na scheduled projects ang maaantala kaya hindi agad matitiyak ang golden age of infrastructure na ipinagmamalaki ng administrasyon.
Dahil dito, mainam aniya na isagawa ang komprehensibong review sa concession agreements o Public-Private Partnership na pinasok upang mabigyang-linaw ang isyu sa umano’y pagpapataw ng unwarranted obligations na nagpapalugi sa gobyerno.
Kabilang sa flagship projects na inilatag ay ang konstruksyon ng mga tulay at kalsada, subway, high-capacity commuter service railways, paliparan at flood control and management facilities.
