NCRPO: Walang security threat sa Metro Manila ngayong Undas
Tiniyak ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) na ligtas na magugunita ang Undas sa Metro Manila.
Sa press briefing araw ng Martes, sinabi ni NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas na walang natatanggap na security threat sa Metro Manila.
Gayunman, pinalakas na umano ang intelligence-gathering para mapigilan ang mga pag-atake sa 118 sementeryo at columbarium sa rehiyon.
Nagpakalat ang NCRPO ng 4,233 pulis sa mga sementeryo kabilang ang mga tatao sa Police Assistance Desks (PADs) na tutulong sa commuters at pipigil sa mga mapanamantalang kriminal.
Naka-standby din ang Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) at Regional Mobile Force Battalion.
Mayroon ding force multipliers na kabibilangan ng ‘Bantay-bayan’ volunteers, barangay peacekeeping action teams, private security guards at maging non-governmental organizations.
Ang Manila Police District (MPD) ang magbabantay sa seguridad ng North Cemetery, ang pinakamalaking sementeryo sa Metro Manila.
Ayon kay Sinas ngayong Miyerkules ay magdedeklara siya ng full alert at paiigtingin ang checkpoints sa mga kalsada patungo sa mga sementeryo.
Nasa limang milyong katao ang inaasahang tutungo sa mga sementeryo sa Metro Manila ngayong All Saints’ Day at All Souls’ Day ayon sa NCRPO.
