Red tide alert nakataas sa 8 lugar sa Bataan

Nagbabala ang Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) sa mga residente laban sa pagkain ng shellfish gaya ng tahong at alamang matapos ma-detect ang red tide toxins sa walong bayan at isang syudad sa Bataan.

Ayon kay BFAR Central Luzon director Wilfredo Cruz, nakataas ang red tide alert sa Orani, Hermosa, Mariveles, Limay, Orion, Pilar, Samal, Abucay at Balanga City.

Dahil da red tide ay ipinagbabawal ang pagkuha at pagdadala ng shellfish mula sa naturang coastal towns.

Patuloy na minomonitor ng BFAR ang kalidad ng tubig sa lugar.

Tatanggalin ang alerto kapag nawala na ang red tide toxins sa tahong at alamang.
