IRR para sa Bawal Bastos Law nilagdaan na

Ganap nang nalagdaan ang implementing rules and regulations (IRR) para sa “Bawal Bastos Law” o Safe Spaces Act.

Sakop ng batas ang pagpapataw ng parusa sa catcalling, wolf-whistling, sexist at homophobic slurs, unwanted sexual advances at iba pang uri ng sexual harassment sa public spaces, workplaces, schools, at online.

Ang RA 1131, ay nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong Abril.

Pinalalakas ng rin batas ang mekanismo laban sa sexual harassment sa workplaces at sa mga education at training institutions.

Ang IRR ay nilagdaan ng mga pinuno ng iba’t ibang departamento kabilang ang Commission on Higher Education; Commission on Human Rights; Department of Education; Department of Health; Department of Information and Communications Technology; Department of Labor and Employment; Department of the Interior and Local Government; Department of Social Welfare and Development; Land Transportation Office; Metropolitan Manila Development Authority; Philippine Commission on Women; Philippine National Police; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority; Democratic Socialist Women of the Philippines; Sentro ng Alternatibong Lingap Panlegal; at Women’s Legal and Human Rights.

Magiging epektibo ang IRR, labinglimang araw matapos ang publication nito.
