Naihatid na sa huling hantungan ang namayapang dating Senate President Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel sa Heritage Memorial Park sa Taguig City sabado ng umaga (Oct. 26).

Bago ang libing ay isang misa ang idinaos na dinaluhan ng mga miyembro ng pamilya at kaibigan ng dating mambabatas.

Kabilang sa dumalo sina Senator Franklin Drilon, Risa Hontiveros at si Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

Si Pimentel na tinaguriang “father of the Local Government Code” ay sumakabilang buhay noong linggo, October 20 sa idad na 85 matapos ang pakikipaglaban sa sakit na lymphoma at pneumonia.
