Pilipinas, 8th most-favorite country ng travelers; Malacañang natuwa

Masaya ang Palasyo ng Malacañang sa pagpili ng mga travelers sa Pilipinas bilang isa sa pinaka-paborito nilang bansa sa buong mundo.

Batay sa 32nd annual survey na isinagawa ng New York-based luxury and travel magazine na Condé Nast Traveler, pangwalo ang Pilipinas sa listahan ng mga bansang pinakagusto ng travelers.

Sa press briefing sa Malacañang araw ng Biyernes, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na nagsalita na ang buong mundo.

Tunay anya na ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’.

“The world has spoken: It is truly more fun in the Philippines,” ani Panelo.

“We thank the readers of Conde Nast Traveler for making the Philippines 8th in their list of favorite countries in the world,” dagdag ni Panelo.

Sa survey ng Condé Nast, lumabas na mas sikat pa ang Pilipinas sa Italy, Vietnam, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, Tanzania, Israel, Colombia, New Zealand, Ireland, Cambodia, at Croatia.

Naungusan naman ng Thailand, Portugal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Peru at Greece ang bansa.

Dahil sa pagkilala ng travelers sa Pilipinas, pinuri ni Panelo ang Department of Tourism (DOT) at ang industry partners nito sa epektibong pagtataguyod sa sektor turismo.

Batay anya sa pinakahuling ulat ng DOT, umabot na sa 5,554,950 ang dayuhang bumisita sa bansa mula January hanggang August 2019.

“We commend the Department of Tourism, their industry partners and other stakeholders for their splendid job. In its most recent report, the DOT counted a total of 5,554,950 visitors between January and August 2019. On top of this, the Philippines registered a 14.08% year-on-year increase in the country’s international inbound traffic,” ayon sa kalihim.
