Coast Guard nagtatayo ng istasyon sa Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi

Nagtatayo ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ng istasyon sa Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi para paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa terorismo at piracy sa Mindanao.

Ininspeksyon ni Western Mindanao Command (Wesmincom) chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana ang konstruksyon ng PCG sub-station gayundin ang seguridad sa lugar.

Makakatulong anya ang Coast Guard base sa Sibutu para labanan ang mga terorista at pirata sa dagat.

“The proposed PCG substation in the coastal area of Sibutu will help us deter local terrorists and pirates from creating fear among the local fisherfolk,” ani Sobejana.

Layon ng PCG substation na isulong ang kaalaman sa maritime domain at matiyak ang malayang paglalayag.

Nagkaroon naman ng dayalogo ang militar sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Sintangkai.

Hakbang ito ng PCG dahil malaking bahagi ng karagatan sa Mindanao ang hotspot para sa kidnapping at piracy.
