DFA: 13 Pinoy sugatan sa bus accident sa Egypt
Labintatlong Filipino ang nasugatan sa bus accident na naganap sa Mt. Sinai, Egypt ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Sa isang mensahe araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni DFA Office of Strategic Communication and Research Assistant Secretary Eduardo Meñez na tinutulungan na ng Philippine embassy ang mga Pinoy.
Hindi na nagbigay pa ng impormasyon si Meñez ukol sa 13 Pinoy dahil humiling umano ang mga ito ng privacy.
“We do have information on the group but as they have requested for privacy and not to disclose details we will respect their wishes. I can only share that the (Philippine) embassy in Cairo under Amb. Sulpicio Confiado is providing assistance to them,” ani Meñez.
Batay sa mga ulat, ang mga Pinoy ay bahagi ng grupo ng 15 Filipino na nasa pilgrimage tour sa Holy Land.
Pawang mga taga-Davao City ang mga Pinoy at 11 sa mga ito ay doktor.
Naganap ang aksidente matapos bisitahin ng grupo ang St. Catherine’s Monastery na nasa paanan ng Mt. Sinai.
