Duterte inutusan ang lahat ng ahensya na kontrolin ang pagkalat ng ASF
Inatasan ng Malakanyang ang lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno na tumulong at gumawa ng hakbang para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng African Swine Fever (ASF) sa bansa.
Direktiba ito ng Palasyo matapos iulat ng Bureau of Animal Industries (BAI) na ilang processed meat products gaya ng tocino, hotdog at longganisa na mula sa isang kumpanya sa Maynila ay nagpositibo sa ASF.
“..all executive departments, bureaus, agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, government financial institutions and other instrumentalities of the government to coordinate, as well as to adopt policies and institute measures to manage, contain and control the transmission,” ani Panelo.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, inutusan ng Office of the President (OP) ang kaukulang mga ahensya na tulungan at magbigay ng alternatibong trabaho at skills training ang mga apektado ng naturang virus sa baboy.
Maski ang publiko ay hinimok ng Palasyo na tumulong sa mga otoridad para maiwasan na kumalat ang virus.
“…the Office of the President implores the public to extend their utmost cooperation to government authorities in order to prevent the spread of ASF,” pahayag pa ni Panelo.
Matatandaan na matapos ang kumpirmasyon ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ukol sa pagpasok ng ASF sa bansa, ilang baboy mula sa mga lalawigan ng Rizal, Cavite, Pangasinan, Bulacan, Pampanga at Nueva Ecija at sa Quezon City ang pinatay na matapos tamaan ng sakit.
