Binigyan ng pagkilala ang halos 400 local government unit (LGU) ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Binigyan ng Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) ang nasa kabuuang 380 LGUs, kabilang ang 17 probinsya, 57 lungsod at 306 na munisipalidad.
Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni DILG Secretary Eduardo Año na ang nasabing bilang ay 44 porsyentong mas mataas sa 263 LGUs na pinarangalan noong 2018.
Pumasa ang mga LGU sa “All-in” assessment criteria ang DILG kabilang ang mga sumusunod:
– financial administration
– disaster preparedness
– social protection
– peace and order
– business friendliness and competitiveness
– environmental protection
– tourism, culture, and the arts
Pinakamaraming pumasang LGU ay sa Region 1 na may 65, sumunod ang Region 3 na may 63, Region 2 na may 40, Calabarzon na may 33 at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) na may 28 LGUs.
