UAAP sinuspinde si Abanto ng UE matapos tirahin si Navarro ng Ateneo
Pinatawan ng UAAP ng isang larong suspensyon si Nick Abanto ng University of the East (UE) matapos ang pag-atake nito kay Will Navarro ng Ateneo de Manila sa kanilang laban noong Linggo.
Nananatiling under observation si Navarro dahil sa tinamong “concussion.”
Ayon kay UAAP commissioner Jensen Ilagan, mula sa “non-call” ay kanyang itinaas sa “unsportsmanlike foul” ang pagtira ni Abanto kay Navarro matapos ang review sa laro.
Paliwanag ni Ilagan, hindi naprovoke si Abanto at malinaw ang intensyon nitong saktan si Navarro
“Upon multiple reviews of the incident, we saw that there was intent by Mr. Abanto to hit Mr. Navarro that causing him to fall and eventually be carried off the playing court,” ani Ilagan sa isang statement.
Dahil dito ay hindi makakapaglaro si Abanto sa laban ng UE kontra Far Eastern University (FEU) sa Linggo, October 27.
