Taiwanese nailigtas sa 3 kidnappers na Asian national sa Makati

Nasagip ng Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) ang isang 29-anyos na Taiwanese mula sa kanyang kidnappers sa isang hotel sa Makati City.

Ayon kay PNP-AKG Col. Jonnel Estomo, nakipag-ugnayan sa kanila ang police attache ng Taipei Economic and Cultural Center of the Philippines tungkol sa pagdukot kay Chang Hsu Chun noong October 16.

Si Chang Hsu Chun ay isang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) worker na umano’y dinukot at ikinulong dahil sa umano’y utang.

Sa sumbong ng ina ng biktima, may tumawag sa kanya para humingi ng ransom na nagkakahalaga ng 30 million Renminbi kapalit ng kalayaan ng anak.

Nagpadala pa ng video ang mga dumukot na nagpapakitang ginugulpi at tinatadyakan si Chang.

Dahil dito, agad na nag-abiso sa PNP ang mga awtoridad sa Taiwan at ikinasa ang rescue operation para kay Chang.

Natunton si Chang at naaresto ang tatlong suspek na sina Rong Jiawei, Chinese national; Tang Chang Hong, Malaysian national; at Yang Lei, isa ring Chinese national.

Sinampahan ang mga suspek ng kasong kidnapping for ransom with serious illegal detention.
