DOLE: 5,000 trabaho sa Europa inaalok sa mga Pinoy
Libu-libong trabaho sa southern central Europe ang posibleng maibigay sa mga Pinoy ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Ayon sa pahayag ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III araw ng Lunes, hinihingi ng Slovenia ang pagpayag ng Pilipinas para sa deployment ng 2,000 hanggang 5,000 skilled at semi-skilled workers para makatulong sa kanilang workforce.
Pero sinabi ni Bello na kailangan munang lumagda ng Pilipinas at Slovenia sa isang bilateral agreement.
Ayon sa kalihim, kabilang sa mga hinahanap ay health care workers, nurses, engineers, truck drivers, heavy machine and equipment operators, iba pang industriya at household service.
“In Slovenia, we are looking probably at around PHP50,000 to PHP75,000 or about USD1,000 as long as we can come up with a bilateral agreement and we both agree with the provisions and the template contract,” ani Bello.
Sakaling maaprubahan, maaaring makatanggap ng minimum wage na USD$1,000 ang mga kwalipikadong manggagawa.
Isa sa mga kwalipikasyon ay ang proficiency sa English language.
Bubuo ng isang technical working group para sa negosasyon sa terms of agreement at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga Filipinong manggagawa.
Pinayuhan naman ang mga OFW na hintayin ang pormal na anunsyo ukol sa pagbubukas ng mga trabaho at tumungo muna sa DOLE o Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) para matiyak kung lehitimo ang agencies at job orders na inaalok.
