WATCH: Pagbabanta at harassment sa mga estudyante, kinondena sa pamamagitan ng cheer dance ng UP Visayas
Gamit ang kanilang cheer dance performance ay tinalakay ng mga estudyante ng University of the Philippines (UP) ang mga social at political issue.
Nag-viral sa social media nitong weekend ang performance ng grupong “Skimmers”,
Sa pahayag ng UP Visayas, taunang ginagawa ang naturang cheering competition.
Ang tradisyon umanong ito ay kadalasang nagtataglay ng satirical commentaries at pagpuna sa mga national at local at issues.
Hinihimok umano ang mga kalahok na pag-isipang mabuti ang tatalakayin at i-exercise ang freedom of expression.
Sa naging performance ng “Skimmers” tinalakay ang usapin sa press freedom, territorial issues, Rice Tariffication Law, pag-alis ng Filipino sa curiculum sa kolehiyo, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (Sogie) Equality at divorce bills.
Hindi naman ito nagustuhan ng mga taga-suporta ng administrasyong Duterte at binatikos ang naging performance ng Skimmers.
