Pumanaw na sa edad na 85 si dating Senator Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr.

Ang pagpanaw ng dating senador ay kinumpirma ng kaniyang anak na si Senator Koko Pimentel sa Facebook post.

Ayon kay Sen. Koko, alas 5:00 ng umaga ngayong Linggo, Oct. 20 pumanaw ang kaniyang ama.

Nanilbihan bilang senador ng bansa si Pimentel mula 1987 hanggang 1992 at mula 1998 hanggang 2010.

Siya ang founder ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino at tinaguriang “father of thebLocal Government Code”.
