PNP hindi makikialam sa kaso ni Albayalde at “ninja cops”

Hahayaan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na dumaan sa proseso ng paglilitis sina dating PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde at ang 13 tinaguriang “ninja cops.”

Reaksyon ito ng PNP sa rekomendasyon ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee na pinamumunuan ni Senator Richard Gordon, para kasuhan si Albayalde at ang 13 pulis na sangkot sa drug recycling ng aabot sa P648-milyon na halaga ng shabu na nakumpiska sa isang raid sa Pampanga noong 2013.

Sa isang statement, iginiit ng PNP na nananatiling inosente ang mga inaakusahan hangga’t hindi napapatunayang nagkasala.

“The PNP will let justice, fairness, and due process of law take its course. All accused remain innocent until proven guilty,” ayon sa PNP statement.

Ipinauubaya na rin nila kay Albayalde at sa 13 pulis ang pagbibigay ng kanilang panig kaugnay ng nasabing usapin.

Kasabay nito, tiniyak ng PNP na walang magiging pagbabago sa pinatutupad na reporma at patuloy na paglaban sa krimen, iligal na droga at katiwalian.

“We assure our people that the PNP remains on track with renewed vigor to reform itself into the ideal shape to fight crime, illegal drugs, and corruption,” ayon sa statement.
