Sinalubong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Indian President Ram Nath Kovind sa Malacañang.
Isang welcome ceremony ang ibinigay kay Kovind sa Palace reception hall na sinundan ng bilateral meeting.
Tinalakay ng dalawang lider ang mutual interest ng India at Pilipinas kabilang ang political, economic, cultural at people-to-people engagement.
Maliban sa pulong kay Pangulong Duterte, kasama din sa schedule ng Indian president ang pakikipagkita sa mga miyembro ng Indian community at Filipino beneficiaries ng Mahaveer Philippine Foundation, Inc.
Si Kovind ang ikatlong Indian President na nagsagawa ng state visit sa Pilipinas simula noong 1949.
Mula Pilipinas ay didiretso si Kovind sa Tokyo sa October 21 para dumalo sa enthronement ceremony kay Japanese Emperor Naruhito.
