Bilang ng mga isla sa Pilipinas nadagdagan ng mahigit 500
Mayroong 500 bagong mga isla na nadagdag sa Pilipinas.
Ayon sa Philippine Geomatics Symposium (PhilGEOS), kinumpirma ng National Mapping and Resource Information o NAMRIA na mayroong dagdag na 500 bagong isla sa bansa.
Dahil dito ayon sa PhilGEOS, mula sa 7,107 islands ay mahigit 7,641 na ngayon ang isla sa Pilipinas.
Ayon sa PhilGEOS, gumamit ang NAMRIA ng Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar para ma-detect ang land masses at pagbabago sa land forms.
Sa November 14 at 15 magdaraos ng conference ang PhilGEOS na may titulong “PHILGEOS X GeoAdvances 2019”.
Sa nasabing conference ay ipapaliwanag ang pagkakatuklas sa mga bagong isla.
