LOOK: Tanggapan ng BPO na isang POGO service provider ipinasara ng BIR at DOF
Ipinasara ng Bureau of International Revenue (BIR) at ng Department of Finance (DOF) ang isang Business Outsourcing company na nagsisilbing service provider ng Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO).
Isinilbi ng mga opisyal ng BIR at DOF ang closure order sa headquarters ng Altech Innovations Business Outsourcing sa Aseana City, Parañaque at isa pang tanggapan nito sa Pasay.
Ito ay dahil sa kabiguan nitong makabayad ng tinatayang aabot sa P100 milyon halaga ng buwis sa pamahalaan.
Ayon kay BIR Deputy Comm. Arnel Guballa, nasa 1,000 ang empleyado ng Altech at halos lahat ay Chinese nationals.
Ang Altech ay pag-aari ng isang Jan Erick Lavarias Altavas.
Pinangunahan nina Guballa at Finance Asec. Tony Lambino ang pagpapasara sa Altech.
