DFA, nakikiramay sa pagkamatay ng isang OFW sa Abu Dhabi

Nagparating ng pakikiramay ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa naiwang pamilya ng nasawing Overseas Filipino worker (OFW) na si Mary Jean Balag-ey Alberto sa Abu Dhabi.

Ayon kay Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola, agad tutugon ang kagawaran oras na lumabas ang resulta ng isinagawang forensic investigation.

Tiniyak din ng DFA, sa pamamagitan ng Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (OUMWA) at Philippine Embassy sa Abu Dhabi, na patuloy ang pag-monitor sa kaso.

Nakakuha na rin ng abogado ang embahada para hawakan ang kaso ng OFW.

Nakikipag-ugnayan din ang mga opisyal ng embahada sa mga otoridad sa UAE para mabigyan ng hustisya ang pagkasawi ni Alberto.

Sagot naman ng DFA ang pagpapauwi ng mga labi ng OFW sa Pilipinas.
