Marcos masayang hindi naibasura ang kanyang electoral protest
Masaya si dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema na umuupo bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) na ilabas ang resulta ng initial recount sa pilot provinces sa kanyang election protest laban kay Vice President Leni Robredo.
Pinagkokomento sina Marcos at Robredo sa resulta ng recount at sa petisyong ibasura ang resulta ng vice presidential elections sa Lanao del Sur, Basilan at Maguindanao.
Sa panayam ng reporters matapos ang utos ng PET, nagpahayag si Marcos ng kasiyahan dahil tuloy pa rin ang kanyang protesta.
“Siyempre masaya ako. … ‘Yung gusto ni Justice Caguioa i-dismiss ‘yung kaso, na tapusin na ‘yung petition ko na sasabihing dismiss the entire petition, ‘yun ang hinihingi ni Justice Caguioa. Hindi pumayag ang Supreme Court,” ani Marcos.
Tinitingnan ito ni Marcos na pagkakataon na maipresenta sa korte ang lahat ng ebidensya tungkol sa umano’y dayaan.
Iginiit ni Marcos na siya ang tunay na nanalong bise presidente at ninakawan na siya ni Robredo ng tatlong taon sa serbisyo.
“By conducting the cheating in the election, they robbed the proper vice president who won the election – myself – from the 3 years of service,” ayon kay Marcos.
Bagama’t dismayado sa tagal ng paghihintay para maupo bilang bise presidente naniniwala si Marcos sa proseso ng batas at sa katarungan lalo’t kumplikado ang kanyang kaso.
“Of course it’s frustrating pero what are you going to do? You have to trust the wisdom of our justices at saka the case is complicated; it is the first time any presidential protest has arrived to this stage,” giit ng dating senador.
