Militar pabor sa selective martial law sa Mindanao

Suportado ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang selective martial law coverage sa Mindanao.

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo na bumuti na ang sitwasyon ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ilang parte ng rehiyon.

Batay din aniya ito sa rekomendasyon ng ilang opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan na na-validate naman ng operational commanders sa lugar.

Aniya, ang pinal na desisyon sa pag-aalis ng martial law ay depende pa rin kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Nagsimulang isailalim ang Mindanao sa martial law kasunod ng sumiklab na Marawi siege noong May 2017.

Matatandaang tatlong beses pinalawig ng pangulo ang martial law sa rehiyon.
