Macalintal: Robredo hindi nababahala sa desisyon ng SC sa electoral protest
Hindi nag-aalala at kumpyansa si Vice President Leni Robredo sa kahihinatnat ng electoral protest na isinampa laban sa kanya ayon kay Atty. Romulo Macalintal.
Sa briefing araw ng Lunes, sinabi ni Macalintal na tiwala ang bise presidente na makukuha ang hustisya sa nakatakdang pagresolba sa kaso.
“Okay naman siya. Hindi naman siya nag-aalala dito kasi she knows [and] that she’s very confident that we will get justice and fairness and impartiality in the resolution of this case,” ani Macalintal.
Ngayong araw na inaasahang pagbobotohan ng Korte Suprema na tumatayo bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) ang ulat sa naging recount at revision sa mga balota sa tatlong pilot provinces na pinili ni dating Senador Bongbong Marcos sa kanyang protesta.
Nanawagan si Macalintal sa sambayanang Filipino na ipanalangin na anuman ang maging resolusyon ng PET ay dapat alinsunod ito sa katarungan, kawalan ng kinikilingan at ‘rule of law’.
“We invite the entire Filipino people to pray that whatever resolution that would be released tomorrow will be in the interest of justice, fairness, and impartiality, and the rule of law,” apela ni Macalintal.
Una nang nagpahayag ng tiwala sa PET si Vice President Leni Robredo matapos tiyakin ni Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin na hindi lulutuin ang resolusyon sa protesta.
