Malacañang binati si Carlos Yulo matapos ang makasaysayang panalo

Nagpaabot ng pagbati ang Palasyo ng Malacañang matapos ang ‘historic win’ ni Carlos Yulo sa 49th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships nitong weekend.

“The Palace congratulates Carlos Edriel Yulo for making a historic win for the Philippines after securing the country’s first ever world artistic gymnastics gold in the men’s floor exercise yesterday in Germany,” ani Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.

Nitong Sabado ng gabi, nakakuha ng gold medal si Yulo sa men’s floor exercise dahilan para mag-qualify ito sa magaganap na 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Ayon kay Panelo,  ‘proud’ ang sambayanang Filipino sa panalo ni Yulo.

“The Filipino people are certainly proud of this impressive win, which qualified the young Carlos to the Olympics 2020 in Japan. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. Mabuhay ang atletang Pilipino,” dagdag ng kalihim.

Samantala, saludo rin si Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar sa talento at determinasyong ipinakita ng 19-anyos na atleta.

Ito kasi ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na nakakuha ng ginto ang Pilipinas sa gymnastics men’s floor exercise.

Samantala, sinabi ni Andanar, asahan na ang magandang performance ni Yulo sa 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
